While biscuits bake in a small saucepan over medium heat melt butter. Stir in maple syrup bourbon and smoked paprika. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes then remove from heat.
Glaze biscuits:
Remove biscuits from oven. While still warm brush generously with the maple bourbon glaze.
Assemble skewers:
Thread 2 glazed biscuits onto each skewer. Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
